Silver readily obliges with consumers’ design preferences, lending itself well to classic favourites and on-trend creations. In a recent JNA webinar, the Silver Promotion Service (SPS) revealed the styles most likely to dominate consumer purchases in the coming season.
In the JNA Design Talk: Silver Jewellery session on October 28, SPS Director of Brand Development Gloria Maccaroni said consumers gravitate towards the metal due to its versatility, affordability, and variety of design options, among others.
For starters, it easily accommodates classic styles such as hoop earrings, bangle bracelets, diamond studs, stacking rings and simple studs.
Silver jewellery trends in the Fall/Winter 2020-21 season include Metal Magic, which encompasses shiny or textured silver; Punky Plaids that are embodied in strong and bold shapes; On the Fringe, which plays on textured designs; and Patchwork Perfection, which silver translates into woven or layered patterns.
For Spring 2021, the focus shifts to uber-long pendants and chains, collar necklaces, pearls and charms, Maccaroni noted.
