Buyers are offered an exclusive preview of goods at the Israel Diamond Pavilion
The Israeli diamond industry will have a major presence at the HKTDC Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show, with 83 companies exhibiting at the Israel Diamond Pavilion.
The pavilion is organised by the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI). Ten more Israeli companies are showcasing their goods in other locations throughout the fair. Among the Israeli exhibitors, four companies are participating in this show for the first time.
The Israel Diamond Pavilion measures 1,200 square metres and is located in the Diamond Hall at the AsiaWorld-Expo. Within the pavilion, IDI has a spacious lounge serving refreshments throughout the day. Three “Get Diamonds” terminals have also been set up, enabling buyers to search a computerised database in both English and Chinese of all goods offered by Israeli exhibitors at the show. Buyers may also access the Get Diamonds system on their smartphones.
The Israeli exhibitors are presenting diamonds of all shapes and sizes, with several companies showing very large and important stones and fancy colour diamonds. Moreover, many of the exhibitors are showing specially designed pieces of diamond jewellery.
Hong Kong is Israel’s second-largest market for polished diamonds, representing close to 30 percent of total polished diamond exports. In addition to Hong Kong, Israel supplies polished diamonds to China, India, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Australia and other Asian markets.
