Luxury jeweller Chaumet immortalises magical moments with Chaumet est une fête, a high jewellery collection that takes inspiration from music and memorable experiences.
With the distinctly Parisian Musée des Arts Forains as a setting, Chaumet unveiled the collection as an ode to ephemeral magical moments such as an engagement, wedding, formal balls or an evening at the opera or 1920s music hall.
The Chaumet est une fête Collection evokes exceptional experiences rendered even more memorable by sublime jewellery, the jeweller said.
The pieces also represent four legendary settings around the world: Aria Passionata, Pastorale Anglaise, Rhapsodie Transatlantique and Valses d’Hiver.
Aria Passionata pays tribute to great opera performances at La Scala in Milan. This collection includes a necklace, brooch, earrings, rings, bracelet and watches adorned with garnets, rubies and tourmalines to evoke the red velvet drapes of the mythical Italian theatre.
Pastorale Anglaise, meanwhile, is described as a reinterpretation of the Scottish tartan motif. It draws inspiration from the Glyndebourne festival, one of London’s most famous events. “Lush green fields studded with wild flowers transform into intense emerald gardens, punctuated with a burst of sapphires, yellow sapphires, rubies and diamonds,” revealed Chaumet.
The elegance of New York’s Upper West Side takes centre stage at Rhapsodie Transatlantique, with pieces that evoke the spirit of the Metropolitan Opera. The pieces feature a symphony of changing colours through Umba garnets; pink tourmalines; sapphires including Padparadscha, violet and yellow-green sapphires; morganites, tanzanites, imperial topazes, and white, champagne and cognac diamonds.
Valses d’Hiver, meanwhile, captures the unabashed sophistication of the Vienna Opera Ball – reminiscent of the Strauss dynasty and its contemporaries. The pieces radiate delicacy and curves through a transformable necklace, a tiara, brooch, bracelet, jewellery watch, rings and earrings that shimmer like veils against the skin.
