Organised by JNA of UBM Asia and sponsored by Crossfor Co Ltd, the Platinum Guild International and the Tahitian Pearl Association Hong Kong, the JNA Jewellery Design Competition 2018/19 attracted a total of 2,588 entries from jewellery designers and students from 39 countries and regions. Five finalists have been named in each category, namely Dancing Stone, Platinum and Tahitian Pearl. The chosen designers were from Bulgaria, China, Egypt, Iran, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan and the US.
Jointly organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Hong Kong Jewellers’ & Goldsmiths’ Association, Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association, Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers' Association and the Diamond Federation of Hong Kong, China, the Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition received close to 200 entries this year. The winning pieces highlighted the designers’ creativity under the theme “Be Connected, Be United.”

With the theme “Blossom,” winning entries in the 2018 edition highlighted innovative and state-of-the-art design concepts, giving jewellery pieces boundless vitality. The winning pieces also symbolise the continued blossoming of the jewellery sector.
