An advanced and fully automated diamond grading facility is opening its doors during the International Diamond Week in Israel (IDWI), which is scheduled for January 28 to 30.
According to diamond technology firm Sarine Technologies, the lab is based on artificial intelligence (AI). The launch followed a pilot of the facility, which opened in February 2018.
The Sarine lab offers automated diamond grading reports based on machine learning and monitored by expert gemmologists. The Sarine Profile reports are provided in a customisable printed or digital format. Clients may also avail themselves of a science-based Light Performance grading that measures a diamond’s brilliance, sparkle, fire and light symmetry.
Also on offer is a new service especially aimed at retailers – a customised Diamond Journey report that tracks the life of the diamond from rough to polished, revealed the company.
