Chain specialist Schofer of Germany has been successfully recertified in accordance with the Responsible Jewellery Council’s (RJC) Code of Practices standard.
Mathias Kohlhammer, managing director of Schofer, commented, “In addition to upholding all relevant ethical, human rights, social and environmental topics, also guaranteeing a responsible acting supply chain is crucial to sustaining a trustworthy cooperation with our partners worldwide.”
The company is now eyeing RJC certification in accordance with the council’s Chain of Custody standard.
The German chain manufacturer offers a varied selection of gold chains that meets the diverse requirements of clients for solid, hollow or ultra-light chains. It also cited its ability to produce more than 1,000 chain patterns for different jewellery designs. More than 95 percent of its production is exported. The company also offers laser-engraving services.
