Informa Markets, organiser of the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, is offering 10,000 complimentary hotel room nights exclusively for trade buyers.
This is part of major visitor promotion initiatives by the organiser to further drive traffic to the show, following discussions with trade associations and industry players.
Celine Lau, director for Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets, said each September Fair exhibitor may submit the names of three significant buyers who will be entitled to two free consecutive hotel room nights during the show dates.
The fair will be held at the AsiaWorld-Expo from September 16 to 20 and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from September 18 to 22.
Buyers nominated by exhibitors are requested to submit the hotel booking form on or before September 12 to the designated travel agency.
The organiser is also implementing a massive telemarketing campaign to reach out to 50,000 buyers from around the globe. “Many of these buyers have already been contacted and have confirmed their attendance. Efforts are ongoing to convince other visitors, who may still consider joining, that everything is being done to address their concerns,” explained Lau.
The visitor promotion campaigns are aimed at generating meaningful and substantial benefits to all September Fair participants, the organiser said.
